Quest manager

A new feature, Quest manager is being rolled out and it will reach you within a day. With the new feature, you can view your quests, manage them and sort them. This feature will simplify things and most players will not miss quests with limited time period. You can also view rewards for completing the quest before you complete it.

Note that this feature will be rolled slowly across different players, so dont worry if you dont have the feature yet. You will have it very soon.

Navy Research Labs

It has been around 10 days since the release of Army research labs in Empires and allies. Today they released Navy Research Labs. By researching your military units you can increase your units's accuracy, damage done to opponent, strength and decrease build time and build cost. So for every unit you can do five different upgrades with the army research lab. Note that, the upgrade will effect all soldiers you own and you will build from now on. However, the upgrade effect will not be applied to the currently going on battles.

The first Navy research lab will be provided for free and it can be found in your inventory. With the help of the navy research lab you can now upgrade carriers, battleships and gunboats. To research you will need building parts. You can ask for the building parts just before doing the research or can use cheat to get them fairly easily.

You can just click the pictures below and ask the building parts with your friends. Open the pages of building parts (which you need) in different tabs. Wait until the pages completely loads and ask with your friends in each tab. Comeback later and you will have them in your inventory. Note that you can have maximum of only 20 building parts in your inventory. If you dont have many friends go to the Add me page and get more neighbours. Empires & Allies: The third most used application on Facebook

Empires & Allies is now officially the third most used application on Facebook. With more than 36 million monthly active users it comes third in facebook's top application after Cityville and Farmville. This massive success of Empires & Allies within a month of its release strengthens Zynga's status in the top application developer of Facebook. In Facebook's application developer leaderboard Zynga stands strong in the first position with around 8 times more users than the second best application developer.

Empires & Allies is similar to other Zynga games like Farmville and Cityville. You use the resources, plant crops, build buildings and expand your territory. Zynga has added up combat and campaign modes in the game making it more exciting to the users. The feedback from the users shows that they like the combat in the game and the campaign mode is pleasing too. Although it is expected that Empires & Allies will soon be the second most used application in facebook, it is still unsure whether it will be able to catch up with other giant application of facebook: Cityville.

Empires and Allies of Zynga hits 20 million users!!

It has been just 15 days since Empires and Allies was launched by Zynga on facebook and it has already gained more than 20 million monthly active users(MAU). This outcome may not much surprising as other apps of Zynga like Farmville, Cityville, FrontierVille, Texas HoldEm Poker, Café World, RewardVille and Mafia wars are also very famous in facebook. However it should be noted that if this trend of MAU of Empires and Allies continues it wont take long until it catches up the top 3 applications of Facebook (CityVille, FarmVille and Texas HoldEm Poker: All Zynga games). Currently CityVille, the application with highest monthly active users in Facebook, has 90,498,051 MAU. FarmVille has 42,932,998 monthly active users and Texas HoldEm Poker has 35,186,485 monthly active users.

Zynga launched empires and allies on June 1st for facebook users with 12 different languages: Malay, Korean, Norwegian, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Turkish and traditional Chinese. Empire & Allies is said to be "Cityville meets Risk" by the developers of the game. The game looks similar to other facebook games of Zynga with city buildings (similar to cityville), farms and other resources( similar and Farmville) and land expansions like most of other Zynga games. However, Empires and Allies is different from other Zynga games as it includes single player campaign and combats. Basically in Empires & Allies the aim is to use farms, minerals and ores, make miliary buildings and create an army to fight against the evil forces and build up a peaceful empire which had been shattered by the evil forces. The battles in the game can take place either in air, land, or sea.

The rate increase in  monthly active users of Empires and Allies is very high and is almost similar Cityville. However we will see whether Empires and Allies will be able to beat cityville and be the facebook's top application or will slow down in the long term.
